LINCOLN — Nebraska would step up its role against illegal immigration under a newly proposed state law requiring businesses with at least 25 workers to use an online system aimed at ferreting out undocumented workers.

Three days before his presidential inauguration, Donald Trump launched a meme coin, a type of cryptocurrency whose value is buoyed by social media and internet culture, rather than any sort of functionality or intrinsic value.

The coin – officially called $Trump – briefly ascended into the top 15 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization and attracted over a half-million buyers.

MONTCLAIR, Va. (AP) — In a wine shop an hour outside of Washington, owner Arthur Lampros sampled a wine from a part of the world that was totally new to him, racking his brain to pin down the tastes on his tongue.

State’s Largest Union Accepts Labor Contract Aimed At Luring ‘New Generation’ Of Public Servants

LINCOLN — The largest labor union representing state government employees has voted to accept a contract with the state that includes pay raises of between 6.5% and up to 19% over a two-year period.

Another step in the right direction is a negotiated benefit that allows six weeks of paid maternity leave, up from none before, said Justin Hubly, executive director of the Nebraska Association of Public Employees.

Businesses and governments statewide had more than 80,000 job openings and only 32 people looking for work for every 100 of those openings, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

When Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg appeared on a Jan. 10, 2025, episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” he lamented that corporate culture had become too “feminine,” suppressing its “masculine energy” and abandoning supposedly valuable traits such as aggression.
