CITY OF OMAHA
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
BUILDER’S DISTRICT AT NODO REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on October 30, 2018, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

The Builder’s District at NoDo Redevelopment Project Plan.

This Redevelopment Plan proposes the construction of a corporate campus for Kiewit Corporation's worldwide headquarters and additional prospective development projects within the redevelopment plan area. The redevelopment plan area is generally bounded by Cuming Street on the north, 14th Street on the east, Cass and Burt Streets generally on the south and 22nd Street on the west.  This Redevelopment Plan proposes projects that will advance significant office development and potential office, retail and mixed use urban development adjacent to the CenturyLink Center and TD Ameritrade Park.  The redevelopment plan area is close to cultural amenities and visitors.  The investment represented by the headquarters project for Kiewit Corporation will serve as a catalyst for the proposed adjacent investment in the north downtown area.

The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the September 5, 2018 public hearing.

This Redevelopment Plan provides an analysis of existing conditions in the area and presents general guidelines for future development within the redevelopment area.  The redevelopment plan area has not been the subject of any previous redevelopment plans.  The Redevelopment Plan presents plans for City installation of public improvements as incentives for substantial private development.  Implementation of the Redevelopment Plan may be undertaken pursuant to the powers provided for in the Nebraska Community Development Law, to include the use of Redevelopment Bond Financing.

A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk's Office.

Anyone interested in this matter should be in attendance.

Elizabeth Butler, CMC
City Clerk, City of Omaha
