Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on September 12, 2017 and passed and approved the ordinances entitled:
 
ORDINANCE NO. 41234
AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha, adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located southeast of 39th and Leavenworth Streets from GI – General Industrial District to NBD – Neighborhood Business District.
SUMMARY:
The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, be and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that:
Lots 1-9 and the vacated alley adjacent north of said Lot 8, and the vacated alley west of said Lots 8 and 9, Stanton Place, a subdivision, as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, together with Lots 1-8 and the east 59.66 feet of Lot 9, Billings Subdivision, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, and the adjacent vacated alley north of said Lot 8, and the east 12 feet of vacated 39th Street, are hereby rezoned from GI – General Industrial District to NBD – Neighborhood Business District.
First Reading:  August 8, 2017; Second Reading:  August 15, 2017; Third Reading and Public Hearing:  August 22, 2017; and, held over to September 12, 2017 and continued the Public Hearing.

ORDINANCE NO. 41245
AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha, adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone the property located southeast of 20th and Ogden Streets from R4(35) – Single-Family Residential District (High Density) to GI – General Industrial District.
SUMMARY:
The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, be and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that:
Lots 5 through 18 inclusive, Goodland Addition, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska; together with Lots 1 and 2, Goodland Addition Replat 1, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska; are hereby rezoned from R4(35) – Single-Family Residential District (High Density) to GI – General Industrial District.
First Reading:  August 22, 2017; Second Reading:  August 29, 2017; and, Third Reading and Public Hearing:  September 12, 2017.

ORDINANCE NO. 41244
AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha, adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone the property located at 3504 South 24th Street from GI – General Industrial District to R7 – Medium Density Multiple-Family Residential District (property is also located within an ACl-1(50) Overlay District).
SUMMARY:
The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, be and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that:
Lot 1 of the Cleveland Place Replat 1, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from GI – ACl-1(50) – General Industrial District to R7 – ACl-1(50) – Medium Density Multiple-Family Residential District.

ORDINANCE NO. 41241
AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha, adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located northeast of 72nd and Pacific Streets from GC – General Commercial District and GI – General Industrial District to CC – Community Commercial District.
SUMMARY:
The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, be and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that:
Lots 1-2, Kum & Go First Addition, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, are hereby rezoned from GC – General Commercial District and GI – General Industrial District to CC – Community Commercial District.

ORDINANCE NO. 41242
AN ORDINANCE approving a redevelopment and tax increment financing loan agreement between the City of Omaha, a Nebraska Municipal Corporation in Douglas County, Nebraska, and Alchemy Development, LLC, a Nebraska limited liability company, to implement the Zone 6 Apartments at Aksarben Village Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a project site located at 6460 Frances Street and 6465 Shirley Street, which proposes the new construction of two, five-story multi-family structures containing a total of 108 market-rate units with a total of 136 parking stalls available to the residential tenants; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $1,625,568.00 in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project; and, providing for an effective date.

ORDINANCE NO. 41243
AN ORDINANCE (1) to approve an agreement between the City of Omaha and the Women's Center for Advancement in the amount of thirty-nine thousand, three hundred seventy-seven dollars ($39,377); and (2) to authorize funding for such agreement from the City of Omaha's FY 2016 STOP Violence Against Women (VAWA) Grant, Award #16-VW-0707, awarded by the Nebraska Crime Commission; to provide partial funding for one (1) part-time Client Attorney, one (1) full-time Client Attorney and one (1) full-time Victim Advocate as part of the Douglas County Community Response Team; involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter; and, providing for the effective date hereof.
