“NOTICE TO PUBLIC”
The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Omaha Public Library will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. at the W. Dale Clark Main Library, located at 215 South 15th Street.  Proposed agenda kept continually current is available in the Administrative Office at the W. Dale Clark Library.  The Board reserves the right to modify the agenda at said public meeting when convened.  Requests for sign language interpreters or other alternative formats will require a minimum of 48 hours advance notice.  Please contact the Administrative Office at (402) 444-4834 if arrangements need to be made.

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on February 5, 2019 and passed and approved the ordinances entitled:
 
ORDINANCE NO. 41714
AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located at 1935 South 13th Street from GI-General Industrial District to NBD-Neighborhood Business District (property is located within an ACI-1 Overlay District). BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: Section l. The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lot 10, Block 6, Kountze 4th Addition Supplementary, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from GI-General Industrial District to NBD-Neighborhood Business District (property is located within an ACI-1 Overlay District). Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect fifteen (15) days from the date of its passage.

ORDINANCE NO. 41713
AN ORDINANCE (1) to approve an agreement between the City of Omaha and the Douglas County Board of Commissioners, Douglas County Administrative Office in the amount of one hundred and eighty-two thousand, nine hundred and eighteen dollars ($182,918); and (2) to authorize funding for such agreement from the City of Omaha's FY 2017 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program, Award #2017-DJ-BX- 0315, awarded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance; to provide funding for law enforcement equipment, prosecutor and corrections programs, and technology improvements and training; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter; and, providing for the effective date hereof. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: Section 1. That the City of Omaha has been awarded the FY 2017 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program, Award #2017-DJ-BX-0315, from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance, in the amount of $380,836. Section 2. That the City of Omaha will retain $15,000 to provide grant administration and the balance of $365,836 will be equally split between the Omaha · Police Department ($182,918) and Douglas County ($182,918). Section 3. That Douglas County's allocation of $182,918 will fund law enforcement equipment, prosecutor and corrections programs, and technology improvements and training, during the period of September 1, 2018 to September 30, 2020. Section 4. That, as recommended by the Mayor, the agreement between the City of Omaha and the Douglas County Board of Commissioners, Douglas County Administrative Office in the amount of one hundred and eighty-two thousand, nine hundred and eighteen dollars ($182,918); is hereby approved. Section 5. That, the terms of the agreement shall extend through the award period of September 1, 2018 to September 30, 2020 commencing upon approval of this ordinance. In conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter, total expenditures as outlined in the attached budget, from such grant funds and involving appropriations of more than one year, are hereby authorized and the Finance Director is authorized to make payment in accordance therewith. Section 6. There is no match with this grant. Section 7. That this Ordinance being administrative, and not legislative, in character shall be in full force and take effect immediately upon passage.

ORDINANCE NO. 41718
AN ORDINANCE to approve a contract services agreement addendum to Ordinance #41416 previously approved by this Council on February 13, 2018, between the Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau, a department within the City of Omaha, and Talley Management Group, Inc. for promoting the City of Omaha for one year period of January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, with an option to extend for an additional two (2) years; to promote the City of Omaha as a premier destination for conventions and meetings to a targeted national audience in the Chicago market in an amount not to exceed $15,000. for the one-year period; to authorize the payments specified therein; and to provide an effective date. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: Section 1. That the attached agreement between the Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau and Talley Management Group, Inc. for the one-year period January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019, with an option to extend for an additional two (2) years, for contract services in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00 for the one-year period is hereby approved. Section 2. That the Finance Director of the City of Omaha is authorized to pay hereof from Fund No. 21109 - Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau, Organization No. 115921 - Sales Convention, Account No. 42252 - Contract Services. Section 3. That the funding of this agreement will come from the existing Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau's budget, which is primarily funded through the hotel lodging tax paid by out of town visitors. Section 4. That this Ordinance, not being of legislative character, shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its date of passage.

AN ORDINANCE to approve the Omaha Tri-Park Complex Development and Management Agreement between the City of Omaha, Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority, and the Downtown Riverfront Trust. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OMAHA: Section 1. That the City Council hereby and does approve the attached Omaha Tri-Park Complex Development and Management Agreement between the City of Omaha, Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority, and the Downtown Riverfront Trust. Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Omaha is hereby authorized to execute the Tri-Park Complex Agreement and any related documents.
