“NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON AN AMENDMENT TO THE OMAHA-COUNCIL BLUFFS CONSORTIUM CONSOLIDATED SUBMISSION FOR COMMUNITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS”
Notice is hereby given that the Omaha City Council has set Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. as the date of Public Hearing on the Resolution amending the Omaha-Council Bluffs Consortium Consolidated Submission for Community Planning and Development Programs (the “Consolidated Plan”) for Fiscal Years 2013, 2014, and 2016.
The amendment to the Consolidated Plan changes the Community Development Block Grant Program (“CDBG”), and extends the 2013-2017 Five-Year Strategy one additional year to 2018.  This extension will align with the City of Bellevue’s consolidated planning cycle in order to prepare and submit a regional Assessment of Fair Housing (“AFH”) to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”).
The change to the 2014 CDBG funding allocation for the City of Omaha reduces $250,000.00 from the 75 North Redevelopment Project for which other funding has become available and moves the full amount to a project in the 2016 Action Plan.
Amendments to the 2016 CDBG program include:
• Reducing funding to the 75 North Redevelopment Project by $150,000.00; and,
• Using the $250,000.00 from the 2014 Action Plan, and the $150,000.00 from the 2016 Action Plan, to create funding of $400,000.00 for the Vinton Street Lighting Improvement Project.
A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk's Office.
The Public Hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of Omaha on June 13, 2017, in the Legislative Chambers, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska.

The Parks and Recreation Board of the City of Omaha will have a regular quarterly meeting at 2:00 p.m. on:  Thursday, June 1 at the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street,  Rm. 701, Omaha, NE  68183.
Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the Parks, Recreation, and Public Property Department. The Board shall have the right to modify the agenda at said public meeting when convened.
