“NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDING THE OMAHA-COUNCIL BLUFFS CONSORTIUM CONSOLIDATED SUBMISSION FOR COMMUNITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR FISCAL YEARS
2014, 2015, AND 2016”
Notice is hereby given that the Omaha City Council has set Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. as the date of Public Hearing on the Resolution amending the Omaha-Council Bluffs Consortium Consolidated Submission for Community Planning and Development Programs (the “Consolidated Plan”) for Fiscal Years 2014, 2015, and 2016.
Amendments to the Fiscal Year 2014 HOME Investment Partnerships Program include the following: 1) changing the description of a project in the Single-Family New Infill Housing Program by expanding the Locust Glen Redevelopment Area; and, 2) changing the housing developer of the Cornerstone East Project from Holy Name Housing Corporation, a Community Development Housing Organization (CHDO), to the City of Omaha.
Amendments to Fiscal Year 2015 Consolidated Plan are to the HOME funded Single-Family Infill Housing Program by: 1) reducing the number of units from five (5) to three (3) houses constructed by the GESU Housing in the Clifton Hills South Redevelopment Area; and, 2) changing the location of City developed housing from the Clifton Hills South Area to the Cornerstone East Area.
The 2016 HOME Investment Partnerships Program amendments include: 1) increasing funds to the Single-Family Infill Housing Construction Program by $387,500.00 to $1,387,500.00; and, 2) reducing the Urban Homestead Rehabilitation and Resale Program by $387,500.00 to $132,500.00.
Amendments to the Fiscal Year 2016 Consolidated Plan also includes the CDBG program changes which include: 1) increasing the Homeownership Counseling Program by $10,000.00 to $60,000.00; and, 2) decreasing the Homeownership Financing Program by $10,000.00 to $50,000.00.
A copy of said Plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk's Office.
The Public Hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of Omaha on January 10, 2017, in the Legislative Chambers, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska.
