|“NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE EAGLE HEIGHTS TAX INCREMENT FINANCING (TIF) REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN”|
Notice is hereby given that the Omaha City Council has set Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. as the date of Public Hearing on the Resolution approving the Eagle Heights Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan.
The Project, located at a site northwest of 23rd and N Streets, proposes to construct a new four-story, multi-family structure which will contain 44 units of affordable housing options, ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartment units, with 30 on-site parking stalls provided. Low Income Housing Tax Credits are the primary funding source utilized to help make the units affordable. The units will be open to anyone; however, the applicant will target members of the urban American Indian and Alaska Native population for the units.
The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the October 4, 2017 public hearing.
The Redevelopment Project Plan recommends the City's participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of TIF in an amount up to $310,000.00. TIF will be used to offset TIF eligible expenses for acquisition, demolition, architectural and engineering fees, water/sewer main improvements, and any public improvements required. The total estimated project costs are $7,797,965.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.
A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk's Office.
The Public Hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of Omaha on December 5, 2017, in the Legislative Chambers, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska.
