LINCOLN — A Lancaster County District Court judge said Friday she intends to issue “narrowly” at the end of next week whether to dismiss a lawsuit seeking to invalidate Nebraska’s medical cannabis petitions.

The other day Nebraska’s Attorney General did his job. His job was to appease Pete Ricketts, Tom Osborn, Jim Pillen and some of the other leaders of this state in spreading doubt about the legitimacy of the signatures on the petitions to legalize Medical Marijuana in Nebraska.

BONNE TERRE, Mo. (AP) — A Missouri man convicted of breaking into a woman’s home and repeatedly stabbing her was executed Tuesday over the objections of the victim’s family and the prosecutor, who wanted the death sentence commuted to life in prison.

Marcellus Williams, 55, was convicted in the 1998 killing of Lisha Gayle, who was stabbed during the burglary of her suburban St. Louis home.
