If you grew up in the 80’s, there’s about a 100% chance you couldn’t wait for Saturday morning cartoons. For me, Saturdays meant Pacman eating power pellets, Pee Wee Herman adding to his foil ball, and only He-Man had the power to stop Skeletor from ruling Eternia. If you were lucky, just maybe you’d have some Captain Crunch in the early morning and later, as morning faded, some spoonfuls of SpaghettiOs with Meatballs as the cartoons ended and Soul Train began.

Comic Books Are The New Silver And Gold

An ounce of silver is worth between $19 and $20 while an ounce of gold should run you in the neighborhood of $1,660. And while they both continue to NOT do the one thing they are supposed to do, hedge against inflation, comic books have soared in values. In June of this year, at Heritage Auctions, issues of The Incredible Hulk #181 sold for $102,000 and Marvel Spotlight #5 (The first appearance of Ghost Rider) sold for $264,000.

Marry The Home But Date The Rate

After seeing record low mortgage rates for a few years, they had nowhere to go but up. Still, few predicted these levels this quickly. According to bankrate.com (at the time of this writing) the average 30-year mortgage rate is at just over 7%, the 15 year is slightly above 6.25%, and the adjustable (ARM) rate is at 5.37%.
