ACLU of Nebraska Announces Sam Petto As Communications Director
The ACLU of Nebraska welcomes Sam Petto as the team’s new communications director and a new media contact.
A Nebraska native, Petto brings experience in public relations and journalism to the role. He comes to the ACLU via the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) Office of University Communications, where he guided storytelling efforts and complex communications projects as Director of Editorial and Media Relations. Prior to joining UNO, Petto produced the “Daybreak” and “10 at Ten” newscasts at WOWT NBC Omaha, covering the city and state’s most pressing challenges.
“Sam has the vision, passion and talent to elevate our communications and help us reach more Nebraskans,” said Danielle Conrad, ACLU of Nebraska’s executive director. “As we work to protect and expand Nebraskans’ civil liberties, connecting with as many people as possible in as many ways as possible has never been more important. Sam understands and appreciates that ‘We the People’ create progress together.”
Petto is engaged in the Omaha community through professional organizations and volunteer work. He looks forward to getting to better know Lincoln and the rest of the state in his new role.
Petto can be reached at spetto@aclunebraska.org and (402) 476-8091 ext. 104. Please update your contacts and address book to ensure accuracy and efficiency in contacting the ACLU of Nebraska for information.
