PUBLIC NOTICE

The Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency’s Draft FY2027-FY2032 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is available for public comment. The public comment period runs from May 28, 2026, to June 22, 2026.

The Transportation Improvement Program is a six-year document, updated annually, which documents the progress toward projects that include federal transportation funding.

It includes projects such as highway maintenance and expansion, bicycle and pedestrian trail work, Metro Transit projects and aviation projects.

The Draft TIP also includes updates to projects in the Omaha-Council Bluffs region led by the Nebraska and Iowa Departments of Transportation during the next four years.

The Transportation Improvement Program includes the CY 2027 Program of Projects (POP) for the Transit Authority of the City of Omaha d/b/a Metro. The total federal share of Section 5307 and 5339 funds available to the Omaha, NE-IA urbanized area is $19,461,000.

The regular monthly meeting of the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) Transportation Technical Advisory Committee (TTAC) is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. June 17, 2026 TTAC will take at

MAPA offices, 2222 Cuming Street, Omaha. Transportation Technical Advisory Committee will meet in the MAPA Board Room.

Copies of the agenda for each meeting will be available June 12, 2026. Electronic copy of the agenda will be available at http://mapacog.org. Printed copies of the agendas will be available at MAPA offices.
