OBA Reminds Members to Sign Up for Wine Tasting
The Omaha Bar Association is reminding members to sign up for the 21st annual wine tasting coming up later this month.
This year’s event will be held virtually on Friday, Jan. 29, beginning at 7 p.m. Registration is required by this upcoming Monday and attendees will be asked to pick up a “goodie bag” next week.
The event itself will be held via Zoom video conference instead of an in-person gathering, due to the coronavirus pandemic, OBA Executive Director Dave Sommers said.
“We wanted to make sure to keep the event going in 2021 in some way and show our members how much we appreciate them,” Sommers told The Daily Record in December. Registration is $5 per member, plus an extra $5 for a guest. Members are allowed to invite one guest each to attend.
Each attendee will receive a 375-milliliter bottle of wine, an official OBA Wine Tasting glass and a raffle ticket for prize drawings during the live event. The Daily Record is sponsoring the event.
Attendees will be contacted in advance to give a wine preference and schedule a pick-up, which will be offered outside the Kutak Rock office downtown, the Regency Shopping Center parking lot and the Goosmann Law parking lot west of Village Pointe. Delivery may also be an option.
Register at omahabarassociation.com or contact Sommers at dave@omahabarassociation.com or 402-280-3607.
