Outstanding Young Lawyer Honoree Active In State Bar Groups, Co-Founded Law Firm
With only four years of experience as an attorney, Kara Brostrom has already made her mark on Nebraska’s legal community.
Brostrom, whose practice focuses on estate and business litigation, was honored last week at the Nebraska State Bar Association Annual Meeting with the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award.
A Grand Island native, Brostrom graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with an undergraduate degree in psychology degree in 2013. During her time at UNL, she received the UNL Outstanding Leadership award, participated in the honors program and spent four years on the Nebraska Cheer Squad.
She then graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law with her J.D. in 2016. Fresh out of law school, she worked at “one-for-all” firm Baylor Evnen in the Lincoln office.
Brostrom now works as an attorney at Ball, Louden, Ebert & Brostrom LLC, an estate and business firm specializing in trust, estate, business and commercial litigation that she co-founded in 2019.
Her practice areas include estate and tax planning, trust and estate administration, real estate law, entity formation and business and succession planning.
“Brostrom has consistently demonstrated her ability to actively and expertly engage in and manage a sophisticated and complex caseload with compassion and professionalism,” the NSBA said in a news release.
Brostrom serves as the chair of the NSBA Real Estate, Probate and Trust Section and a member of the Women and the Law Section, the Young Lawyers Section and the Legislation Committee.
