U.S. Attorney for Southern District Of Iowa Resigns
Des Moines, Iowa – U.S. Attorney Marc Krickbaum of the Southern District of Iowa announced his resignation from the office last Thursday.
Krickbaum did not give a reason for the resignation. No replacement or interim U.S. Attorney was named.
President Donald Trump appointed him to the job in 2017. Before his appointment, Krickbaum worked for almost a decade as a career prosecutor in Chicago and Des Moines. The federal prosecutor’s office for the Southern District holds courts in Davenport, Des Moines and Council Bluffs.
“Serving as United States Attorney has been the privilege of my professional life,” Krickbaum said in a news release. “I am grateful to the law enforcement and agencies we serve with, and to the people of the U.S. Attorney’s Office. They have done great things, and they have many more to come.”
