Virtual Recycling Conference Planned Next Month
The Nebraska Recycling Council will be hosting its annual fall conference and awards show as a virtual event Oct. 5 through Oct. 7.
The event will feature speakers and attendees from all over the country with a focus on wasting nothing, reducing our impact and maximizing our resources, according to a news release.
The conference hits on today’s most relevant topics in resource recovery for municipalities, businesses, and rural and urban recycling programs. Featured sessions include implementing policy to influence recycling and resource management, environmental wellness for the workplace, composting for small to mid-size municipalities and transfer stations, best practices for rural recycling systems, and a keynote presentation from Gary Cuneen, the founder and executive director of Seven Generations Ahead.
“Education and information sharing is at the heart of Nebraska Recycling Council programs,” said NRC Executive Director Heather Creevan. “I look forward to doing that at our conference.”
