Compassion In Action has worked since 1994 to assist Nebraskans confined by the state prison system to successfully transition from being inside to back on the outside. It’s a faith-based organization that relies on mutual aid and community engagement for prevention and to ease confined people into reentry.

OMAHA — A North Omaha community forum got testy at times Sunday night as many participants challenged the process that led to the slate of North and South Omaha groups in line to share $225 million in federal funds.

On Jan. 4, 2023, a Georgia biotechnology company called Dalan Animal Health announced that it had received a conditional license from the U.S. Department of Agriculture for a vaccine designed to protect honeybees against American foulbrood, a highly destructive infection.
