Omaha, Neb. - Each September, survivors, organizations and advocates celebrate Suicide Prevention Month while highlighting initiatives that raise awareness around saving lives from suicide. This September, The Kim Foundation joins forces with community partners to engage the Greater Omaha area and encourage everyone to learn what role they can play in suicide prevention.

It Takes A Village To Put On A Fashion Show

Omaha Fashion Week has quickly become one of Omaha’s largest events. With two shows a year, one in the spring and one in the fall, OFW has earned its spot as the 4th largest fashion show in the country and has an impressive list of sponsors such as Tito’s Vodka, Develop Model Management, and Milan Laser Hair Removal. However, it would be impossible for all this to happen if it wasn’t for all of the volunteers OFW has gained over the years.

American Cancer Society Big Dig Provides Day Of Fun For Children

Omaha, NE – Sunday, September 11, 2022, the Omaha Metro community will have the opportunity to explore excavators, backhoes, scissor lifts and many other pieces of large equipment at the Big Dig, an event that supports the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge Nebraska located in Omaha. The event will run from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the site on Hwy 370 & 150th Street. This event is free and open to the public.

The Hope Center For Kids “Summer Of Growth And Opportunity”

Wednesday, August 3rd marked the culmination of the Metro Omaha Optimist’s 14th Year of partnering with The Hope Center for Kids. Our “Summer of Growth and Opportunity” this year provided the youth with educational and fun field trips to Glacier Creek Preserve, Schramm Park & Aquarium, Bellevue Berry Farm, the Children’s Museum, and Zorinsky Water Park. The youth earned these trips by participating in the Hope Center’s summer programs.
