The Latest On The Titan Submersible Tragedy And What's Next In The Recovery Efforts

The desperate search to find the missing Titan submersible turned into a recovery effort Thursday after officials announced the vessel imploded sometime this week, killing all five aboard, near the Titanic shipwreck.

Deep-sea robots will continue searching the sea floor for clues about what happened deep in the North Atlantic. The pilot and four passengers died in the catastrophic implosion.

NSAA Gender Participation Policy

The NSAA oversees athletics and general activities for many public and private schools in the state. The association implemented its Gender Participation Policy in January 2016 and pushed back against a “sex at birth” rule that same year supported by former Gov. Pete Ricketts.

 

Transgender students wishing to utilize the outlined procedures must follow these steps:

Provide written notice to their home school that will determine whether the student meets the NSAA’s activity eligibility standards.

NASA is planning to put U.S. astronauts back on the surface of the Moon by the end of 2024. This mission is just the beginning of what is shaping up to be a historic few decades in space exploration, as both the U.S. and China have plans to establish a permanent human presence on the Moon.

Drug Enforcement Administration Announces Spring Take Back Day

OMAHA, NE – The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and its partners will host the 24th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day at more than 4,000 sites nationwide on Saturday, April 22, in an effort to safely collect tablets, capsules, patches and other solid forms of prescription drugs. Take Back sites will be open for collection between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., at more than 150 locations across the DEA Omaha Division.
