Barristers’ Ball Recognizes Importance of Pro Bono Work
The Nebraska Lawyers Foundation brought back its annual Barristers’ Ball earlier this month after holding the fundraiser remotely last year due to the pandemic.
The Galactic Gala was held Aug. 7 at the La Vista Conference Center and featured drinks, dinner, dancing and charity auctions.
Attendees also recognized Ryan P. Sullivan of Lincoln with the Robert M. Spire Pro Bono Award and both Frederick T. Bartell of Norfolk and Mindy M. Rush Chipman of Lincoln with the Visionary Award.
“These individuals’ efforts have made access to justice a reality for so many people who otherwise would not be able to obtain legal help,” Barristers’ Ball co-chairs Jason and Jami Doele wrote in the gala’s program.
Proceeds from the event go to support the Volunteer Lawyers Project, Nebraska Lawyers Assistance Program, Rural Practice Initiative and LSAT prep scholarships. Learn more about these programs at nebar.com/page/NLF.
