The meeting of the Board of the Village of Boys Town was held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, in the Headquarters Building of Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home in the Village of Boys Town, Nebraska.
Call to Order:
Chair Skartvedt called the meeting to order at 1:32 p.m.
Notice of Meeting:
The Notice of Meeting was posted on December 28, 2021, to Beacon and Village of Boys Town websites, and in the following designated public places in the Village of Boys Town: Town Hall, Visitor’s Center, and Headquarters. The Notice of Meeting was also published in The Daily Record on December 28, 2021.

Consent Agenda and Minutes of Prior
Meeting:
Chair Skartvedt moved for approval of the December 21, 2021, Special Meeting Minutes.
Upon MOTION duly made by Msgr. Gilg and seconded by Lindley, the Consent Agenda and Minutes were accepted. The Village Clerk conducted roll call.

Special Announcement:
Chair Skartvedt shared that January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month and given how many youths and families human trafficking affects each year, it is important to recognize the problem and the things that can be done to help eradicate this heinous crime and help those who have been victimized by human trafficking.
Wear Blue Day - January 11 - the Blue Campaign is a national public awareness campaign designed to educate the public, law enforcement, and others about the indicators of human trafficking, and how to appropriately respond to possible cases of human trafficking.
Report of the Village Treasurer:
The Village Treasurer reviewed the November 2021 Financial Report with the Trustees. The balance of all funds as of November 30 collectively is $436,292.66. Detailed reports of Payroll & Related Invoices Paid and Invoices to be Paid are attached herewith and become part of the minutes. Chair Skartvedt solicited a motion for consideration of and to approve action on accounts of the Village Treasurer, to approve the Village General Fund allowance, Payroll & Related Invoices Paid, and Invoices to be Paid.
Upon MOTION duly made by Haack and seconded by Lindley, these matters were accepted. Village Clerk conducted roll call:

Report of the Village Police Chief:
Chief Clark reported the lnterlocal Agreement entered into with other Nebraska counties was finalized in December and submitted to the Village Clerk and filed with the Clerks of Douglas and Sarpy County Courts. The new BodyWom Camera System will be implemented within the next 4-6 weeks. The police officers start a 16-week training course January 9 and upon completion will finalize field training. The Cadet Program was suspended for the month of January as a preventative measure against Covid.

Chief Kava reported the Cadet Program was suspended for the month of January as a preventative measure against Covid.
eport of the Village Engineer:
Brett Wawers reported construction on Mother Theresa Lane has been completed and Phase II is on hold until further direction by the Village Board. The 1- and 6-year plan will be presented in February.
Next Meeting:
The next regular meeting of the Village Board is scheduled for Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 1:30 p.m.

There being no further business, upon motion duly made by Msgr. Gilg, seconded by West and carried by unanimous vote, the meeting adjourned at 1:43 p.m.
