PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on October 28, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

 

An ordinance vacating a 25’ x approx. 189’ portion of Manderson Street abutting 7335 Manderson Street (approx. 377’ west of Clifton Drive); providing for the reversion or transfer of the same.

 

An ordinance vacating a portion of Arbor Street west of 9th Street to the north-south alley, Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska; providing for the reversion or transfer of the same.

 

An ordinance approving an Agreement between the City of Omaha and Kiewit Building Group, Inc., for more than one year, for the construction of the Tranquility Park Sports Complex and Interceptor Sanitary Sewer Improvements.

 

An ordinance to approve a Purchase Agreement with Bell Textron, Inc. to purchase training services for the Omaha Police Department Air Support Unit staff, for a period of two years, involving the payment of money from appropriations of more than one (1) fiscal year in accordance with Sections 5.16 and 5.17 of the Omaha Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended; to provide for the payment to Bell Textron, Inc. in the amount of $184,400.00 for year 2026, and $194,000.00 for year 2027, for a total of $378,000.00.

 

An ordinance in accordance with Section 5.10 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended, to transfer $4,000.00 in unencumbered appropriations in the 2026 General fund Budget of the City of Omaha from the Other Budgetary Accounts Misc - Community Service Programs (South Omaha Museum) to Parks – Community Recreation; and to fix the effective date hereof to be immediately upon passage in accordance with Section 2.12 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended.

 

An ordinance (1) to approve an agreement between the City of Omaha and the Nebraska Medical Center in the amount of $609,651.00; and (2) to authorize funding for such agreement from the City of Omaha’s FY 2024 Community-Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative Grant, Award #15PBJA-24-GG-03108-CVIP, awarded by the Office of Justice Programs; provide funding for one (1) violence intervention specialist, one (1) community engagement coordinator, fringe benefits, office supplies, training, and indirect costs as part of the Engaging Networks within the Community of Omaha to Maintain and Promote a Safe Society (ENCOMPASS) Omaha project; involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter.

 

An ordinance to establish, pursuant to Section 40-251 of the Omaha Municipal Code, a Class “B” Flammable/Combustible Liquids Storage District to be known as District No. B-230 at 5050 F Street as requested by Ortho Nebraska.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on November 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. The purpose of these hearings is to consider approval of:

 

Class “C” Liquor License application submitted by Sip and Spice LLC dba Sip and Spice located at 6610 S 168th Street, Suite 10.

 

Anyone interested in these matters or desiring to give evidence in support of or in protest against the issuance of such license should be in attendance at this meeting.
