CITY OF OMAHA

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

CENTRAL PARK PLAZA

REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on February 1, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

Central Park Plaza
Redevelopment Project Plan
.

Applicant: City+Ventures,
222 S 15th Street LLC

Location: 222 South 15th Street

The redevelopment project plan proposes the renovation of the two existing towers as well as an addition of a newly-constructed, third 80,000 square foot tower that will serve as a linkage between the two existing towers. In addition, this redevelopment project will create new business opportunities for businesses within the City both during and after construction. When fully occupied, the re-imagined Central Park Plaza proposed to hold space for over 2,000 full-time employees, and nearly 400 construction jobs will result from this project.

The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the December 1, 2021 public hearing.

The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of TIF in an amount up to $18,083,809.00, plus accrued interest. TIF loan proceeds will be used to offset eligible expenses such as acquisition, existing building renovation and rehabilitation, architecture and engineering fees and other public improvements as required, to include a contribution of the TIF loan proceeds towards the Downtown Public Improvements Fund which will be negotiated with the redevelopment agreement. The total estimated project costs are $104,535,000.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.

A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.

Anyone interested in this matter should be in attendance.

Elizabeth Butler, MMC

City Clerk, City of Omaha

ALL REQUESTS FOR SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS (SIGNERS) WILL REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS ADVANCE NOTICE. IF ALTERNATIVE FORMATS ARE NEEDED, REQUESTS WILL REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 72 HOURS ADVANCE NOTICE. PLEASE NOTIFY KIMBERLY HOESING AT (402) 444-5552 IF ARRANGEMENTS NEED TO BE MADE.
