PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on April 21, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of constructing Cole Creek Culvert and Stabilization at Hillside Drive, project identified as OPW 51146; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisitions, permanent easements and temporary construction easements, providing that if said parcel cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 44338 which was adopted on September 9, 2025 and accepted the bid from RTG Building Services, Inc. to provide janitorial services for Omaha Public Library Facilities; the original bid specifications contemplated that service for the new Central Library would commence during the term of the bid and that the vendor would perform janitorial services at the new Central Library; to amend the existing ordinance to approve the estimated additional annual cost of $280,800.00 to provide janitorial services to the Central Library pursuant to the terms established by Ordinance No. 44338.
An ordinance to amend Chapter 40 of the Omaha Municipal Code entitled “Mechanical Code;” to amend code sections 40-166, 40-167, 40-186, 40-197, 40-275, 40-276, 40-277, 40-306, 40-307, 40-336, 40-474, 40-490, 40-493, 40-497, 40-498, 40-499, 40-591, and 40-592, and to create Sections 40-125, 40-126, 40-236, 40-237, 40-448, 40-449, 40-560, 40-585, and 40-586; and to provide a provision for a compliance grace period.

ORDINANCE NO. 44641
AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located north of 111th Street and Rainwood Road from GI-General Industrial District to GI-General Industrial District.
Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lot 2, McGill Industrial Park Replat 2, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned from GI-General Industrial District to GI-General Industrial District.
