NOTICE TO PUBLIC

 

The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in the Jesse Lowe Conference Room, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. This meeting will have video conference capability. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The video conference details and an agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at www.cityofomaha.org.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on May 23, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

An ordinance to amend certain portions of Special Ordinance No. 10338, levying a special tax and assessment on certain lots, parts of lots, and pieces of real estate in the City of Omaha, to cover the cost of constructing sidewalks in District No. SWR 2022-01, to reduce the assessment on the property listed below in the amount of $3,493.41 plus accrued interest.

An ordinance to approve a Major Amendment to a Major Amendment to the Lakeside Plaza Mixed Use Development Agreement, located at 17202 Lakeside Hills Plaza, to allow Indoor Sports and Recreation within an existing multi-tenant building, between the City of Omaha and Bowl New England, Inc. dba Spare Time Omaha, providing site development standards.

An ordinance in accordance with Section 5.10 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended, to transfer $43,867.00 in unencumbered appropriations in the 2023 Budget of the City of Omaha from the Wage Adjustment account to the Fire Department; and to fix the effective date hereof to be immediately upon passage in accordance with Section 2.12 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended.

An ordinance to approve the Contracts between the City of Omaha and Thomson Reuters, for more than one year, to provide specialized books and services to the Law Department.

REGIONAL METROPOLITAN TRANSIT AUTHORITY OF OMAHA

Public Meeting Notice

 

The Board of Directors of the Regional Metropolitan Transit Authority of Omaha will hold a regularly scheduled Board meeting on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., at the offices of the Transit Authority, 2222 Cuming Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68102.

The Agenda items are: Approval of Minutes of Previous Meeting – Regular Meeting – April 27, 2023; General Public Comment Period; Administrative Report – L. Cencic; Administrative Reports – Administration/Human Resources – D. Grant, Programs/Operation – I. Maldonado, and Communications – N. Ebat; Resolution – Request Approval of Fuel Contract (Tentative) – L. Cencic; Board Chair Report – D. Lawse; Announcement of date and time for the next Board Meeting; and Adjournment.

Reports will be heard from the Board Committees and staff.

The May Metro Board Meeting will be held simultaneously in person and online using Zoom. The public is invited to attend. In consideration of everyone’s time and in respect of those presenting, any online connection that is deemed to be causing a disruption may be removed from the meeting.
