NOTICE TO PUBLIC

 

The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in Conference Room 702, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. This meeting will have video conference capability. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The video conference details and an agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at www.cityofomaha.org.

CITY OF OMAHA

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on June 2, 2020, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

 

An ordinance to amend the official records, logs, and plats of the City of Omaha by providing for the change in the street names for the following two streets in the Coventry Addition: A portion of Coventry Drive changed to R Street, and a portion of Coventry Drive changed to 205th Street.

 

An ordinance approving a redevelopment and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and Ames Industrial Park, LLC, to implement the Ames Industrial Park Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site located at 4411 North 20th Street, which proposes the rehabilitation of a 12,400 square foot fire damaged building, and to construct a smaller new building with 5,000 square feet which will contain two 2,500 square foot rental bays; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $282,676.00, plus accrued interest, in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project.

 

An ordinance to amend Section 36-2 to include a definition of motorized scooter; to add 36-146 to create the offense of Motorized Scooter Operation Violation.

 

An ordinance to add Section 20-13 to create the offense of Hate Intimidation.

Request for Qualification (RFQ)

Architectural/Engineering

Design Services:

OHA is issuing this RFQ seeking qualified, licensed and bonded entities to provide A/E services for design, specification, and construction management for multiple projects including upgraded lighting at many  OHA’s properties, the reconstruction of buildings following a fire or other casualty loss, the replacement of windows in high-rises, the reconstruction of bathrooms in high-rises, etc., .

RFQ packets will be available on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 2:00 P.M.

Invitation for Bids

Office and Vacant Unit

Cleaning Service

OHA is issuing this IFB seeking qualified contractors to performing Office Cleaning, Vacant Units Cleaning and Trash-Outs for the Omaha Housing Authority.

Lot#1 Janitorial Services – Regularly Scheduled Services for Commercial Office Building located at 1823 Harney Street.

Lot #2 Vacant Units Cleaning-OHA regularly contracts for complete cleaning of vacant residential units in preparation leasing new residents.

Lot#3 Vacant Units Trash Outs removal of all, trash, old furniture, clothes, etc. anything which was left behind by the previous tenant.

Purpose of this IFB is to form a pool of qualified cleaning contractor which OHA may contact for Cleaning Services. That will work on a as need basis for all vacant OHA properties. In addition, OHA intend to award one contract for janitorial services required at their central office building.   

IFB packets will be available on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 2:00 P.M.
