“NOTICE TO PUBLIC”

The following Ordinance has been set for City Council Hearing on May 19, 2020, at 2:00 p.m.:

An Ordinance establishing the North 24th Street Business Improvement District (BID No. 6879) under the authority of the Business Improvement District Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. § 19-4105, et seq. for the purpose of providing specified activities, work and improvements in the North 24th Street area (Meredith Avenue to the north, 25th Avenue to the west, Cuming Street to the south, and 23rd Street to 20th Street to the east) of Omaha, Nebraska; to create the North 24th Street Business Improvement District; to define the boundaries of such District;  to identify that the properties benefited by the streetscape improvements will be subject to special assessments in accordance with the North 24th Street Business Improvement District Plan; to provide for special assessment in an approximate amount of up to $21,500.00 in year one for general maintenance and infrastructure improvement, lighting, beautification, promotion, parking and security; to be imposed upon such District based upon the benefits conferred; to provide for the assessment of property specially benefited within the District; to provide a method of assessment to be assessed upon properties specially benefited by the District.
