PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on June 16, 2020, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

 

An ordinance to rezone property located northwest of 168th Street and Kansas Avenue from AG-Agricultural District to R4-Single Family Residential District (High Density).

 

Res. that, the Final Plat entitled Lakeview 168 (Lots 1-136, Outlots A-E), a subdivision outside the city limits, located northwest of 168th Street and Kansas Avenue, is hereby approved and accepted.

 

Res. that, the Subdivision Agreement among the City of Omaha, Celebrity Homes, Inc., Lakeview 168 Homeowners Association, and Sanitary and Improvement District (S.&I.D.) 563 of Douglas County, Nebraska, as recommended by the Mayor, is hereby approved. The Subdivision is to be known as Lakeview 168 (Lots 1-136 and Outlots A-E) and is located northwest of 168th Street and Kansas Avenue.

 

An ordinance to rezone property located at 3161 and 3165 Leavenworth Street from GI-General Industrial District to CC-Community Commercial District (property is located within and ACI-1-Areas of Civic Importance Overlay District).

 

An ordinance to rezone property located at 1610 Dorcas Street from GC-General Commercial District to R7-Medium-Density Multiple-Family Residential District.

 

An ordinance to rezone property located at 6048 Bridle Path from DR-Development Reserve District and R2-Single-Family Residential District (Low Density) to R2-Single-Family Residential District (Low Density) (property is located within an ED-Environmental Resources Overlay District).

 

An ordinance to amend the boundaries of the MCC-Major Commercial Corridor Overlay District, to incorporate into that district the property located southwest of George B. Lake Parkway and West Q Road.

 

Res. that, the Special Use Permit application submitted by Joseph Saniuk for a Major Amendment to the Special Use Permit to allow a Cemetery in the R4-Single-Family Residential District (High Density), located at 5226 South 46th Street and 4601 Q Street, is hereby approved and the Permits and Inspection Division is directed to issue the necessary permit therefor, provided the conditions set out in Exhibit “A” of the referenced application, conditions set out in Exhibit “B”, and all applicable local or state statutes, ordinances or regulations are complied with; and, that the proposed Special Use Permit has been reviewed and evaluated pursuant to, and meets each of, the criteria set forth in Section 55-885 of the Omaha Municipal Code.

Waiver of Section 55-503 - Variance to the use regulations of the General Industrial district to allow an expansion of an existing Kennel use not otherwise permitted; 6508 North 16th Street
