PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on July 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. The purpose of these hearings is to consider approval of:
Class “C” Liquor License for Corrigan Enterprises, LLC, dba “The Dandy Lion”, located at 15475 Ruggles Street, Suite 108.
Class “C” Liquor License for La Traga Zona, LLC, dba “La Traga Zona”, located at 1620-1622 Harney Street.
Anyone interested in these matters or desiring to give evidence in support of or in protest against the issuance of such license should be in attendance at this meeting.

The Omaha Streetcar Authority will have a Meeting at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, July 15, 2024, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street in Omaha, Nebraska, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Authority shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on July 16, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:
An ordinance authorizing the issuance of a purchase order to Stan Houston Equipment Company, Inc. in the amount of $23,631.00, for the purchase of ADA Detectable Warning Panels to be utilized at the Street Maintenance Division, to be effective for a period of 12 months and is extendable for three (3) one-year periods at the City’s own option; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account.
An ordinance to transfer a permanent easement in land to Metropolitan Utilities District of Omaha, for purposes of relocating facilities, and appurtenances thereto, upon City-owned property located North of the Omaha Convention Center, and east of North 10th Street; to authorize the Mayor to execute the Right-of-Way Easement.
An ordinance to amend certain portions of Special Ordinance No. 10364, levying a special tax and assessment on certain lots and pieces of real estate within Street Improvement District (SID) 2021-01 in the City of Omaha, to cover the cost of constructing and improving Ridgewood Avenue, from Pacific Street to Poppleton Avenue, and Poppleton Avenue from Ridgewood Avenue to Loveland Drive, in Portland cement concrete, to correct the assessment on certain parcels, as delineated in the revised plan of assessment.
An ordinance to amend part of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 43795, passed April 16, 2024, pertaining to the rezoning from DR-Development Reserve District, GC-General Commercial District, and MU-Mixed Use District to DR-Development Reserve District, located southwest of 120th and Fort Streets, to correct the legal description.

An ordinance to approve an Agreement between the City of Omaha and the Millard Public Schools for the City to provide, through its assignment, five Associate School Resource Officers, at the City’s discretion, one Canine Associate School Resource Officer, or six Associate School Resource Officers if a Canine Officer is not available, and marked police cruisers, subject to the availability of such cruisers and the School District’s needs, to specifically designated locations, involving appropriations of more than one fiscal year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter, to perform police work at the District property twenty-eight (28) hours (or less) per week while school is in session during the regular school year, and thirty (30) hours per week while school is in session during the regular school year for the Canine Associate SRO, from the first day of the semester of August 2024 and ending at the close of the 2024 – 2025 school year. The reimbursement payment from the Millard Public Schools to the City will be in the amount of $40.00 per hour for each officer; and $45.00 per hour for the canine officer; and $5.00 per day for the canine officer when school is not in session (summer break).
An ordinance to approve an Agreement between the City of Omaha and the Elkhorn Public Schools for the City to provide, through its assignment, one Associate School Resource Officer and a marked police cruiser, subject to the availability of such cruiser and Elkhorn’s needs, to the Elkhorn Public Schools at a specifically designated location, involving appropriations of more than one fiscal year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter, to perform police work at the District property twenty (20) hours per week while school is in session during the regular school year, from the first day of the semester of August 2024 and ending at the close of the 2024 – 2025 school year; reimbursement from the Elkhorn Public Schools to the City will be in the amount of $40.00 per hour for the officer, not to exceed $31,373.00.
An ordinance approving a Purchase and Sale Agreement by and between the City of Omaha and Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, Inc. for the sale by Mutual of the parking garages generally located at 3202 Harney Street, 115 South 35th Street, and 225 South 33rd Street, in the City of Omaha, for the purchase price of $52,230,000.00.

AIR QUALITY CONTROL
Notice is given to the public according to Chapter 41 of the Omaha Municipal Code of the application of Raven Materials to obtain a minor air emission construction permit for a hot mix asphaltic concrete plant at 4420 South 76th Street, Omaha. The potential emissions, in tons, for this project will be: TSP 14.0, PM10 8.8, PM2.5 6.0, SOx 17.8, NOx 17.5, VOC 20.7, CO 14.5, Ammonia 0.1, Formaldehyde 1.0, Toluene 0.9, POM 0.1, Total HAPs 3.2 and CO2e 11,326.
No significant impact on air quality is expected from the operation of this facility. Douglas County is in attainment with air quality standards for the listed pollutants. Approval is recommended with the condition that any pollution control equipment that may be necessary for compliance with the City of Omaha or Nebraska Air Pollution Control Rules and Regulations will be installed within 180 days after notification by the City of noncompliance.
All information submitted by the applicant and the proposed approval by Air Quality Control are available for inspection by the public at the office of Omaha Air Quality Control from July 10, 2024 to August 10, 2024. Comments received during that period will be considered. During that period the applicant, or any interested person or group of persons, may request or petition the Control Officer for a public hearing, and state the nature of the issues to be raised and all arguments and factual grounds supporting their position. The Control Officer may hold a public hearing if the comments, requests, or petitions raise legal, policy or discretionary questions and significant public interest exists with respect to the application.
