CRCC Offers Modified Services

Published by Scott Stewart on Wed, 04/01/2020 - 12:00am

CRCC Omaha will begin providing in-home care beginning today.

The organization’s two centers are closed due to COVID-19, but CRCC received a temporary respite license to provide in-home services for skilled nursing, mental health, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language therapy.

“The services CRCC provides play a vital role in the lives of children and families every day, and it is even more important during these unprecedented times,” said Anne Constantino, CRCC president and CEO. “As we self-isolate and avoid large groups, this is a necessary and beneficial option for our clients.”

CRCC is also launching the “Learning Together at Home” program, a series of online videos and downloadable educational material that will help families with remote care and learning.

Telehealth is now also an option for CRCC clients. This allows patients and their caregivers to speak directly to CRCC behavioral and therapy teams via phone, laptop or smartphone in their home

CRCC is also offering child care to employees of area hospitals and first responders.

“What’s most important right now is how we are caring for each other,” Constantino said. “Doctors, nurses, health care professionals and first responders are on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we need them to be able to care for the sick.”
