D.C. District Court Welcomes New Administrator
For the first time since 2004, the District Court of the 4th Judicial District has a new court administrator: Sheri K. Larsen.
Larsen was appointed last month, and her first day on the job was Dec. 27. She succeeds previous district court administrator Doug Johnson, who retired in November after serving in the position for nearly 18 years.
Prior to her new appointment, Larsen served as Douglas County chief deputy clerk/comptroller for more than five years. Before that, Larsen served as the finance division administrator in the county’s clerk/comptroller’s office.
The district court administrator serves under the direction of the district court judges and exercises administrative supervision over the non-judicial activities and functions of the court.
Duties include budget preparation and oversight, personnel administration, general supervision and guidance to court-related departments, and facilities and equipment management.
Larsen has a master’s degree in public administration from University of Nebraska at Omaha and a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
