NOTICE OF THE SITTING OF THE CITY COUNCIL AS A BOARD OF EQUALIZATION

To the owners of lots, parts of lots and pieces of real estate described herein and abutting or adjacent to the streets, alleys or avenues herein situated in whole or in part within any of the districts herein specified and all being within the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.

You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Omaha will sit as a Board of Equalization in the Legislative Chamber in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, Omaha, Nebraska, at least one day from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., commencing NOVEMBER 1, 2022, for the purpose of considering and equalizing the proposed levy of special taxes and assessments for Business Improvement District No. 6877 prepared by the City, and now on file in the Office of the City Clerk, and correcting any errors therein, and hearing all complaints that the owners of property so to be assessed and taxed may have to be made; said special taxes and assessments proposed to be levied being necessary to cover the cost of the improvements and activities duly authorized to be completed by Business Improvement District No. 6877 as authorized by Ordinance No. 39864 passed on December 10, 2013 and as amended by Ordinance No. 40480 passed on August 25, 2015.

To the owners of lots, parts of lots and pieces of real estate described herein and abutting or adjacent to the streets, alleys or avenues herein situated in whole or in part within any of the districts herein specified and all being within the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.

You are hereby notified that the City Council of the City of Omaha will sit as a Board of Equalization in the Legislative Chamber in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, Omaha, Nebraska, at least one day from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., commencing NOVEMBER 1, 2022, for the purpose of considering and equalizing the proposed levy of special taxes and assessments for Business Improvement District No. 6876 prepared by the City, and now on file in the Office of the City Clerk, and correcting any errors therein, and hearing all complaints that the owners of property so to be assessed and taxed may have to be made; said special taxes and assessments proposed to be levied being necessary to cover the cost of the improvements and activities duly authorized to be completed by Business Improvement District No. 6876 as authorized by Ordinance No. 39268 passed on March 13, 2012.

AMOUNTS PROPOSED AS SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS NECESSARY TO COVER THE COST OF THE IMPROVEMENTS AND ACTIVITIES DULY AUTHORIZED TO BE COMPLETED BY BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 6876 IN 2021 AS AUTHORIZED BY ORDINANCE NO. 39268 PASSED ON MARCH 13, 2012.   THE LOTS AND PARCELS OF REAL ESTATED SPECIALLY COVERED BY SAID IMPROVEMENTS AND ACTIVITIES AND THE NAMES OF THE RESPECTIVE OWNERS ARE MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

The respective amounts proposed to be assessed have been determined by or in connection with the benefits to be conferred by the improvements and all such amounts estimated to be uniform and not in excess of the benefits conferred by the improvements.

You are further notified that said proposed plan of assessment is now subject to the inspection and examination of any of the owners of said lots or pieces of real estate, or any other person interested in said proposed assessments at the Office of the City Clerk, and that it is proposed that unless for good and sufficient cause when it may be otherwise ordered and determined, the cost of said improvements respectively, shall be assessed on the several lots and pieces of real estate, as shown herein, and by said proposed plans and specifications.

WRITTEN PROTEST MUST BE FILED WITH THE CITY CLERK SEVEN DAYS BEFORE THE BOARD MEETING.

You are hereby notified to appear before the Board of Equalization at the time and place above specified to make complaints, statements or objections you may desire concerning any of said proposed levies and assessments of said special taxes.
