NOTICE OF THE SITTING

OF THE TRUSTEES OF SANITARY AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

NO. 635 OF DOUGLAS COUNTY, NEBRASKA AS A BOARD OF EQUALIZATION

 

To   the owners of lots, parts and pieces of real estate described herein or abutting or adjacent to the streets, alleys or avenues herein situated in whole or in part within any of the districts herein specified and all being within the boundaries of Sanitary and Improvement District No. 635 of Douglas County, Nebraska.

 

You are hereby notified that the Trustees of Sanitary and Improvement District No. 635 of Douglas County, Nebraska will sit as a Board of Equalization at 450 Regency Parkway, Suite 200, Omaha, Nebraska, at least one day from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., commencing DECEMBER 30, 2025, for the purpose of considering and equalizing the proposed levy of special taxes and assessments prepared by the E & A Consulting Group, Inc., Engineer for the District, and now on file in the Office of the City Clerk of Omaha, and correcting any errors therein and hearing all complaints that the owners of property so to be assessed and taxed may have to be made; said special taxes and assessments proposed to be levied being necessary to cover the cost of the improvements duly authorized to be made pursuant to Chapters 31 and 77 of the Nebraska Revised Statutes as follows:

AMOUNTS PROPOSED AS SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS TO COVER THE COST OF CONSTRUCTING SANITARY, STORM, AND PAVING; WATER; POWER WITHIN THE DISTRICT, UPON THE LOTS OF REAL ESTATE SPECIALLY BENEFITTED BY SAID IMPROVEMENT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 31 OF THE NEBRASKA REVISED STATUTES, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

The respective amounts proposed to be assessed have been determined with reference to benefits conferred by the improvement and all such amounts estimated to be uniform and not in excess of the benefits conferred by the improvements.

You are further notified that said proposed plan of assessment is now subject to the inspection and examination of any of the owners of said lots of real estate or any other person interested in said proposed assessments at the Office of the City Clerk of Omaha, and that it is proposed that unless for good and sufficient cause when it may be otherwise ordered and determined, the cost of said improvements respectively, shall be assessed on the several lots and pieces of real estate, as shown herein, and by said proposed plans and specifications pursuant to Chapters 31 and 77 of the Nebraska Revised Statutes.

 

WRITTEN PROTESTS MUST BE FILED WITH THE CLERK OF THE DISTRICT NOT LESS THAN SEVEN (7) DAYS BEFORE THE BOARD MEETING.

 

You are hereby notified to appear before the Board of Equalization at the time and place above specified to make complaints, statements or objection you may desire concerning any of the proposed levies and assessments of said special taxes.
