Omaha’s Powerhouse Alexis Arai Opens Jazz On The Green

OMAHA, Neb. – (July 5, 2022) – Jennifer Lopez had this to say about Alexis Arai: “Her voice is powerful and gives me goosebumps.” Now, you can hear her yourself, live and in person, at opening night of the 2022 season of Jazz on the Green, this Thursday July 7. The FREE outdoor concert series is back in Turner Park at Midtown Crossing with a full, six-show run on consecutive Thursdays through August 11.

Alexis sings with vibrant, cultural flair covering salsa, mariachi, Latin jazz, pop and more. After gracing the stages of The Voice and American Idol, as well as making it to the semifinals on Tengo Talento Mucho Talento, Alexis Arai (Ah-RA-ee) transports her listeners to every corner of the world. With her four-octave range, she performs bilingually, both stateside and internationally. Her vibrant, cultural flair dominates and guarantees to captivate the eyes, ears, and the imagination. Alexis will be joined by her band, y su grupo latino (The Latin Group) at 7:30 PM. Matt Wallace and Latin Knights will open the concert starting at 6:30 PM.

No tickets required; great food available!

All Jazz on the Green at Midtown Crossing concerts are free to the public. No reservations or tickets needed. The lawn at Turner Park opens at 5:00 PM sharp each week. Blankets and chairs are encouraged.

Restaurants in the Midtown Crossing neighborhood offer ice-cold beverages and delicious bites for dine-in or take-out, including pizza, tacos, wings, Asian, vegan, sandwiches, burgers, ice cream, boba tea and more. Click here for full offerings. Beer, wine, and champagne are allowed in Turner Park. Hard liquor is not permitted. Leashed pets are welcomed.

Parking and information:

There are two easily accessible parking garages in Midtown Crossing. Please visit https://midtowncrossing.com/about/parking/ for the latest information about parking during Jazz on the Green.

Mutual of Omaha will also have its surface lot at 35th and Farnam streets open to the public for free beginning at 5:00 PM. Metered parking is also available in surrounding neighborhoods.
