Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on February 24, 2026 and passed and approved the following ordinances:

 

ORDINANCE NO. 44600

AN ORDINANCE to create Road Maintenance District No. 2025-01, in the City of Omaha, for the purpose of improving South 91st Circle, from Pacific Street north to the terminus, by reconstruction of the roadway base and application of an asphalt surface course; to fix and define the boundaries of said district; to provide for the determination and assessment of damages, if any, occasioned by reason of change of grade; to authorize the Public Works Department, barring protest to the contrary in accordance with OMC 26-65, to complete the associated improvement project; and to provide for an effective date hereof.

AN ORDINANCE to establish, pursuant to Section 40-251 of the Omaha Municipal Code, a Class “B” Flammable/Combustible Liquids Storage District to be known as District No. 8-230 at 5050 F Street as requested by Daedalus; and to provide the effective date hereof.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on March 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. The purpose of these hearings is to consider approval of:

 

Class “L” (Craft Brewery) License for German American Society, Inc., dba “German American Society”, located at 3717 South 120th Street.

 

Anyone interested in these matters or desiring to give evidence in support of or in protest against the issuance of such license should be in attendance at this meeting.

LIQUOR LICENSE COMMITTEE

 

Notice is hereby given that the College World Series Special Designated Liquor License Committee will meet in the City Council Conference Room, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska, on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 10:30 A.M., immediately following the Pre-Council meeting, for the purpose of reviewing/approving/denying applications for Special Designated Liquor Licenses during the College World Series, at which time the Committee shall receive evidence and testimony concerning the issuance of Special Designated Liquor Licenses.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on March 10, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

 

An ordinance authorizing the issuance of a purchase order to Garret’s Lawn Service, for a price agreement for Adams Park Green Infrastructure Annual Maintenance Services to be utilized by the Environmental Quality Control Division, to be effective for an initial one (1) year term, and is renewable for up to four (4) one-year terms; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account.

 

An ordinance authorizing the issuance of a purchase order to Northwest Electric, LLC for a price agreement for Maintenance Services for Various Electrical Equipment to be utilized by the Missouri River Water Resource Recovery Facility & Papillion Creek Water Resource Recovery Facility; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account.

 

An ordinance authorizing the issuance of a purchase order to Abe’s Trash Service, Inc., for a price agreement for Trash Container Service for Papio Creek Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF), to be effective for an initial one (1) year term, and is renewable for up to three (3) one-year terms; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account.

 

An ordinance approving a redevelopment and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement between the City of Omaha and Moriah Intergenerational Centre, Inc., to implement the Moriah Intergenerational Centre Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Project Plan for a redevelopment project site located at 2601 N 24th Street, which proposes the construction of a new multipurpose community center building with two street level commercial bays, an events and public assembly space, second floor classroom and meeting spaces, and five to seven office spaces located on the third floor; the agreement authorizes the use of up to $1,182,400.00, which includes capitalized interest, in excess ad valorem taxes (TIF) generated by the development to help fund the cost of the project.
