NOTICE OF RECALL ELECTION

IN THE STATE OF NEBRASKA

Public notice is hereby given to all the legal voters of Cass County School District 13-0001, a/k/a Plattsmouth Community Schools, in the State of Nebraska, that an election has been called and will be held on the 9th day of January, 2024, at which there will be submitted to all legal voters of said School District the following question:

Shall Terri Cunningham-Swanson be removed from the office of the Board of Education of Cass County School District 13-0001, a/k/a Plattsmouth Community Schools?

This election will be an All-Mail election.  All ballots will be sent out on December 18, 2023. 

Voter Registration Deadlines

1.  Fri., Dec. 22, 2023 is the last day for mail-in registrations, registrar registrations, delivered registrations and agency registrations (3rd Friday prior to the election).

2.  Fri., Dec. 29, 2023 is the last day for in-person voter registration in the office of the Election Commissioner of Cass County (6:00 p.m.).

Ballot Return Deadline

Voted ballots that are sealed in the “Return Identification Envelope” may be returned by one of the following means:

1.  U.S. Mail:  place $0.66 postage on the envelope to mail the ballot back; or

2.  Hand Delivery:  deliver the ballot to:

     • The Cass County Election Commissioner at 346 Main Street-Rm 202, Plattsmouth, NE 68048 or the Cass County Election Commission at 145 N. 4th St., Ste 201, Plattsmouth, NE 68048

NOTE:  All ballots must be in the possession of the Cass Election Commissioner no later than 5:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tue., Jan. 9, 2024.
