PUBLIC NOTICE

Public notice is hereby given that, because of a recall election on Jan. 9, 2024, PCS has one (1) vacancy on the nine-member Board of Education. The term for this vacancy lasts through Jan. 7, 2027 (Per NE Statute 32-543). Residents of the school district are encouraged to apply for this open position regardless of where they reside in the district.

Applications are available online at www.pcsd.org and at the Office of the Superintendent in the PCS Administration Center at 1912 Old Hwy. 34, Plattsmouth, NE 68048. A timeline of the process for filling this open Board position is also available online at www.pcsd.org.

A meeting of the Board of Education of Plattsmouth Community School District #1, Cass County, Nebraska, is scheduled for 8:00 AM on Sat., Feb. 3, 2024 to review applications and select candidates for interviews, in the Boardroom at the Plattsmouth Community Schools Administration Center, 1912 Old Hwy. 34, Plattsmouth, Nebraska. The agenda for the meeting shall be kept continually current and is readily available for public inspection at the Superintendent’s office during normal business hours and at www.pcsd.org.
