Waterloo – Together A Greater Good, aka TAGG, is offering a free text-to-give platform and is asking people to consider making a contribution to help their favorite local restaurants and retailers suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

TAGG partners with more than 350 local businesses who agree give a portion of their sales year-round to their customer’s choice of local nonprofit, school or team when they use TAGG’s mobile app.

“Businesses are having to close, reduce hours and lay off workers, and are worried about how rent will be made next month,” said TAGG co-founder Holly Baker.

To contribute, text “GIVENOW” to 313131 to receive a link that will prompt you to select a business to support and choose a contribution amount. All funds will be distributed to the businesses chosen for use in paying employees or to cover other expenses as needed, except for processing and text fees.
