NOTIFICATION OF PROJECT MEETING:
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
The City of Omaha would like to invite contractor involvement in constructability discussions for the upcoming OPW 53906 West Papillion Creek Interceptor Sewer Rehabilitation Project – Areas 1 and 2. These projects primarily include sewer rehabilitation improvements along the West Papillion Creek Interceptor from 36th Street to 66th Street adjacent to West Papillion Creek. The project boundary for Area 1 is west of 36th Street near Brook Drive, to 48th Street near Bellevue Berry Farm Road, and for Area 2 west of 48th Street near Berry Farm Road, to 66th Street.
Sewer rehabilitation work for these projects will primarily include approximately 13,600 LF of 78-inch Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining, and the construction of nine sanitary sewer junction structures. Other improvements include approximately 100 LF of 12-inch sanitary sewer, 3,000 SY of 7-inch and 10-inch concrete pavement, 13,000 SY of 6-inch PCC multi-use trail, miscellaneous manhole and sewer abandonments, and stream crossing improvements in Eagle Ridge Park near an exposed sewer crossing. Another major component of the project will include bypass pumping of the 78-inch interceptor and the seven collector sewers ranging in size from 8-inch to 27-inch in diameter.
Contractors are invited to schedule an in-person discussion with the City’s project team, on February 24, 25, or 26, 2026 to review the project and provide feedback on constructability concerns and solutions that can be incorporated into the current design as we proceed to bidding.
