NOTICE TO PUBLIC

The City Council of the City of Omaha will have a Pre-Council Meeting at 10:30 A.M. in Conference Room 702, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, for the purpose of discussing the agenda items and briefing and discussion of public business; and a regular Council Meeting at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, in the Legislative Chambers of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. This meeting will have video conference capability. Proposed agenda kept continually current shall be available for public inspection in the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center at the Office of the City Clerk, but the Council shall have the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting when convened. The video conference details and an agenda for the meeting is posted on the City of Omaha website at www.cityofomaha.org.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on September 27, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183, for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property and disposing of City property, for the purpose of construction of the Copper Creek Interceptor Sewer Repair, project identified as OPW 53698; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisitions, permanent easements and temporary construction easements, providing that if said parcel cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.

An ordinance declaring the necessity of acquiring, for use by the City of Omaha, the necessary private property for the purpose of the 6th and Leavenworth Grit Facility Improvements Project, identified as OPW 53597; providing that the City negotiate with the property owners for land acquisitions, permanent easements and temporary construction easements; providing that as to each specified parcel which cannot be obtained by negotiation, condemnation proceedings be undertaken and completed.

An ordinance authorizing the issuance of purchase orders to Ready Mixed Concrete Co. and Platte River Concrete Company, for the purchase of concrete to be delivered to job sites throughout the City and within 3 miles of the city limits, to be effective for a term of one (1) year and is extendable for up to four (4) additional one-year terms; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account.

An ordinance authorizing the issuance of a purchase order to DPC Industries, Inc. in the amount of $51,954.00, for the purchase of Sodium Hydroxide Bulk Shipments to be utilized at the Papillion Creek Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF), to be effective for a period of 12 months and is extendable for three (3) one-year periods at the City’s own option; to provide for payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956, as amended; to provide for payments from a specific account.

An ordinance declaring the necessity of appropriating, for the use of the City of Omaha, certain hereinafter described vacant and improved properties at 507 N 16th Street, 513 N 16th Street, 514 N 16th Street, 519 N 16th Street, 1515 California Street, 1502 Cass Street, 1506 Cass Street, 1510 Cass Street, 1514 Cass Street, and 1518 Cass Street, located within the Builder’s District at NoDo Redevelopment Plan Area, an area generally bounded by Cuming Street on the north, 14th Street on the east, Cass and Burt Streets generally on the south, and 22nd Street on the west, for acquisition, relocation as appropriate, and subsequent use as a site for implementing the Builder’s District at NoDo Redevelopment Plan, pursuant to the Nebraska Community Development Law; provided that in the event the specified parcel cannot be obtained by negotiation, proceedings in eminent domain be undertaken and completed.
