The Omaha Bar Association has transitioned its “Bar Talk” podcast to a twice weekly “Virtual Chat” video conference on Zoom, which is streamed on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. For those not on social media, the OBA has a page of past episodes on its website, omahabarassociation.com.

The first five episodes, which run 15 to 30 minutes, include discussions with Douglas County District Court judge, the dean of Creighton University School of Law, a local court reporting operation, attorneys at a mid-sized law firm in Omaha, and a solo practitioner.

“We’ll keep recording these chats and putting them online at the least until things get back to ‘normal’ and we can go back to seeing and interacting with each other in person,” OBA Executive Director Dave Sommers said in an email.
