There are close to 80,000 unfilled jobs in Nebraska.
The birth rate in the state is continuing to decline as are the number of students in elementary and high schools and enrolled in the state’s colleges and universities, demographic changes that will ensure a continuing employment crisis well into the future.

“I have been unemployed for some time and have come to the conclusion that corporate America no longer wants me.
Recently I heard about a local manufacturing company that’s fallen on hard times. Their once-popular product line is no longer in retail stores, the owners can’t stand each other and the CEO has tons of credit card debt that sucks up all of the company’s free cash.

I often tell the story of a study where a job ad was placed with a $50,000 salary offered. There were many applicants. The study then re-ran the ad, with the exact same requirements and duties with a salary of $250,000 offered. No applications were received.

Amid all the current geopolitical conflicts and economic events, investors are watching the real estate market with bated breath. If recent headlines around the world are anything to go by, they are right to do so. With prices down by 15% from their peak, Sweden’s housing market is said to be in “free fall”. Germany’s could nosedive by 25% from peak to trough. Meanwhile, the foundations of the world’s most expensive market, in Hong Kong, are starting to wobble.
