A little over a week ago (in early March, 2024), small businesses across the United States were rejoicing upon hearing the news that a federal judge in the Northern District of Alabama, in a case brought by the National Small Business Association and Isaac Winkles, a member of the NSBA, had ruled that the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), which became effective January 1, 2024, was unconstitutional.

The State Board of Education has for the time being, stopped a proposal to ban sexually explicit books in schools. Now for people who only read the headlines, many might think that means the State Board of Education is promoting putting copies of Hustler magazines in school libraries. (Is Hustler magazine even a thing any more?) Nothing could be farther from the truth.
