The Immigrant Legal Center (ILC) provides legal services, education, and advocacy to immigrants in Nebraska and Iowa. Originally named Justice For Our Neighbors-Nebraska (JFON-NE), they have been assisting immigrants of the Metro area since 1999. They have seventeen full-time attorneys on call and have a case success rate of 94%. Their headquarters are in Omaha, but they also have centers in eight cities in Nebraska as well as a location in Council Bluffs.

The National Association of Realtors is reporting that existing home sales were down 5.4% in June to a seasonally-adjusted annual rate of 5.12 million (down 14.2% year over year). Total housing inventory at the end of June was 1,260,000 units, up 2.4% from one year ago. Unsold inventory sits at a 3-month supply at the current sales rate with properties remaining on the market for around 14 days.

The National Human Trafficking Hotline (NHTH) shows that in just 2020, there were 10,583 reported cases of human trafficking, 72 cases reported to authorities in Nebraska alone. Nebraska ranks at 15th on the list of states with the highest rate of human trafficking, just behind Arizona. The Set Me Free Project exists in an effort to eliminate the threat.
