Leading a horse by its reigns, Megan Dannelly holds on with one hand while trying to control several balls with words on them, like mother, soldier, friend and volunteer, in the other. She attempts to complete a lap without dropping any of the balls, but is unsuccessful. One falls out of her arms. Then another. Soon, balls lay scattered in the dirt.

After being appointed to the New York City Art Commission, she was invited to the annual dinner at a men’s club in New York. The invitation said “Black Tie,” so she wore a black evening gown with a black bow tie.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom says he has President Joe Biden's back. It's almost enough for me to take him off my list of possible successors to the incumbent president. Having Biden's back is not a matter of loyalty.

BlueBarn Theatre debuted ““More of a Heart”” on March 28, 2024. The play was written by Dave Osmundsen. The play explores family dynamics and what it means to truly communicate. Zachary is a college student who is on the spectrum, and his mom, Mary-Ellen is a fierce advocate, considering herself an Autism Mom. Both are frustrated, feeling like the other doesn’t listen, but when Mary-Ellen receives a diagnosis, it becomes more important than ever to learn how to communicate with each other.

The Law Day Poster Contest is adjudicated by the Nebraska Paralegal Association . The contest is open to Omaha area 5th graders. The winning poster will be put on display for the month of May on a billboard in Omaha.1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will receive cash prizes from the Omaha Bar Association.

Black tie optional was the dress code for this year’s Barristers’ Ball, held annually. 560 registrations were received for the April 13, 2024 gala. Held at the Embassy Suites in LaVista, Nebraska, conversation among colleagues, dinner and dancing to the KC FLO band melded with fun and spirited bidding in the silent and live auctions. The whimsical evening’s theme was “An Evening In Wonderland.”
