CITY OF OMAHA PUBLIC NOTICES 10/13/22

PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

The Regional Metropolitan Transit Authority of Omaha (Metro) is seeking public comment on its Title VI plan. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects people from discrimination based on race, color, and national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance.

Metro will hold three (3) meetings for the public to attend and share their comments on proposed changes to the Title VI Plan, including:

The definition of a major service change.

The policy regarding disparate impacts to a group identified by race, color, or national origin.

The policy regarding disproportionate burdens to low-income populations.

The meetings will be held in an open-house format on the following days and times:

Saturday, October 15th – 10-11 a.m.

MCC South Transit Center

Tuesday, October 18th - 5-6 p.m.

Spanish translation will be available at all meetings. Attendees with communication or accommodation needs such as  other  interpreting services, auxiliary aids, or readers must call 402.341.7560 ext. 2320 or email outreach@ometro.com at least two working days prior to a meeting so appropriate arrangements can be made. To request foreign language translation other than Spanish, please call at least 72 hours prior to the open houses.

Members of the public who are unable to attend any of the meetings can also submit comments through Metro’s website at www.ometro.com/titleVI-update or by mail to the following address:

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

DIGS APARTMENTS

REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on October 25, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

Digs Apartments

Redevelopment Project Plan.

Applicant: Uptown Properties LLC

Location: 522 South 30th Street

and 522 Park Avenue

The redevelopment project plan proposes the new construction of a four story apartment building with 43 market rate apartments.

The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the September 7, 2022 public hearing.

The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of TIF in an amount up to $1,424,994.00, plus capitalized interest. TIF loan proceeds will be used to offset eligible expenses such as acquisition, site work, architectural and engineering costs, and other public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $8,635,736.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.

A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.

Anyone interested in this matter should be in attendance.

REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on October 25, 2022, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

5902 N 9th Street Industrial Redevelopment Project Plan.

Applicant: Greenslate 5902 LLC

Location: 5902 North 9th Street

The redevelopment project plan proposes the new construction of a one story industrial building of about 160,000 square feet.

The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the September 7, 2022 public hearing.

The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of TIF in an amount up to $3,200,000.00, plus capitalized interest. TIF loan proceeds will be used to offset eligible expenses such as acquisition, site work, engineered foundations, architectural and engineering costs, and other public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $21,750,287.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.

A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.
