“NOTICE TO PUBLIC”

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Omaha Public Library will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. at the Millard Branch Library, 13214 Westwood Lane. Proposed agenda kept continually current is available in the Administrative Office at the W. Dale Clark Library and on the Library’s website at www.omahalibrary.org.  The Board reserves the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature at said public meeting when convened.  Requests for sign language interpreters or other alternative formats will require a minimum of 48 hours advance notice.  Please contact the Administrative Office at (402) 444-4834 if arrangements need to be made.

Notification of Project Meeting:

 Request for Information

The City of Omaha would like to notify its intent to invite contractor involvement in constructability discussions for the upcoming OPW 53082 Monroe Street Lift Station Improvements Project.

The OPW 53082 Monroe Street Lift Station Improvements Project includes modifications to Diversion Structure 119 (DS-119) to replace gates, control valves and actuators, bypass pumping, and miscellaneous improvements to the structure and exterior building. This project also includes improvements to the Monroe Street Lift Station including rehabilitating the existing bar screens, new electrical building and equipment, new natural gas fueled engine-generator, upgrades to the dry and wet weather pumps, new process piping, valves, demolition of existing equipment, addition of a clamshell bridge crane, upgrades to the controls and instruments, bypass pumping, and miscellaneous structural, electrical, architectural, HVAC, and plumbing upgrades for a complete and operational system. Finally, miscellaneous site improvements including upgrades to the septage receiving structure, pill box, meter vault, paving, grading, and erosion and sediment control are included.

General contractors are invited to schedule a discussion with the City’s project team, between October 13th and October 23rd, to provide feedback on constructability concerns and solutions that can be incorporated into the current design as we proceed to final design.

The City of Omaha invites proposals for the purchase and development of 3819 N 24th Street Omaha Nebraska 68110, previously known as the Former Native Omahans Club Building. 

The City of Omaha intends to sell the Building in a manner that will assist in community development efforts.  The appraised value is $110,000.  The City does not plan to participate financially in the project.

The deadline to submit proposals is on or before 4:00 p.m., December 4th, 2020.
