PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

BLACKSTONE TOWNHOMES

REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PLAN

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on April 20, 2021, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

 

Blackstone Townhomes

Redevelopment Project Plan.

Location: 501 S 38th Street

 

The redevelopment project plan proposes to demolish the single family structure on the site and construct a six unit rowhome building. All will have at least three bedrooms, three bathrooms and enclosed ground floor parking.

 

The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the March 3, 2021 public hearing.

 

The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of TIF in an amount up to $765,000.00, plus accrued interest. TIF loan proceeds will be used to offset eligible expenses such as acquisition, demolition, site grading and preparation, architectural and engineering costs and other public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $4,307,400.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.

 

A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will meet and hold a public hearing on April 20, 2021, beginning at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183 for the purpose of hearing testimony for:

 

Clove Apartments

Redevelopment Project Plan.

Location: 7837 Dodge Street and

 8004 Farnam Drive

 

The redevelopment project plan proposes to clear the two parcel site and construct a 5-story apartment building consisting of approximately 175 market-rate apartments with approximately 169 parking stalls inside the structure. An additional 12 angled on street parking stalls will be developed along Farnam Drive and another 9 surface stalls will be located on the project site.

 

The Planning Board recommended approval of this Redevelopment Project Plan at the March 3, 2021 public hearing.

 

The Redevelopment Project Plan authorizes the City’s participation in the redevelopment of this project site through the allocation of TIF in an amount up to $4,456,000.00, plus accrued interest. TIF loan proceeds will be used to offset eligible expenses such as acquisition, demolition, site preparation, construction, architectural and engineering costs, and public improvements as required. The total estimated project costs are $34,330,000.00, but are subject to change as final costs come in.

 

A copy of said plan is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office.
