Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on April 26, 2022 and passed and approved the following ordinances:

ORDINANCE NO. 42933

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located Northwest of 27th Street and Saint Mary’s Avenue from R8-High-Density Multiple-Family Residential District to CBD-Central Business District (property is located within an ACI-1 Overlay District).

Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lots 1 & 2, Jackson Tower Replat 1, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, are hereby rezoned from R8-High-Density Multiple-Family Residential District to CBD-Central Business District (property is located within an ACI-1 Overlay District).

ORDINANCE NO. 42934

An ordinance to accept the bid from MaConn Enterprises, LLC for mowing of the Missouri River Flood Levee (Areas A, B, and C) in the amount of $36,925.00 per year, for a period of two years, with sole option by the City to extend the price agreement for up to two additional one-year periods; providing for the payments from appropriations of more than one year in accordance with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of 1956 as amended; to authorize the Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase order; and to provide an effective date hereof.

AN ORDINANCE to rescind Ordinance #42771 passed by City Council on December 7, 2021, originally awarding a bid to BMI Janitorial Group in the amount of $301,492.00/year for janitorial services at the Omaha Police Department Headquarters facility, satellite precinct stations, and facilities located throughout the City as specified by Section; and to provide an effective date.

PUBLIC BUILDING COMMISSION

NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Omaha Douglas Public Building Commission, Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska will receive sealed proposals until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022, for contracting janitorial services for the Omaha  Douglas Civic Center/Hall of Justice Complex & 1723 Building. Specifications may be obtained by emailing mray.hudson@odpbc.org, call 402-444-5345 or in the Office of the Administrator, 1819 Farnam Street, Suite 1205, Omaha, Nebraska. To reach the 12th floor of the Civic Center, take any Civic Center elevator to the 11th floor and the steps up to 12 or have the security guard at the Kiosk on Farnam Level call the one elevator that goes to the 12th floor. The Building Commission reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals. As evidence of good faith in submitting a proposal, the bidder must file with his proposal a bid bond, certified check or cashier’s check in the amount of 5% of the bid. There is a mandatory prebid meeting and walkthrough on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. beginning in the Office of the Administrator. Bids will be publicly opened at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022.  A committee will review and evaluate all bids and may make recommendations to award the contract at the next meeting of the Omaha Douglas Public Building Commission, which is scheduled for Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. Please use a sealed envelope in submitting your proposal and mark same ‘Building Commission Janitorial Services’ for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2022.
