Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Omaha met on June 13, 2023 and passed and approved the following ordinances:

 

ORDINANCE NO. 43435

AN ORDINANCE to amend the official zoning map of the City of Omaha adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code, by changing certain boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Omaha in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, to rezone property located southwest of 46th and Dodge Streets from R7-Medium-Density Multiple-Family Residential District, GO-General Office District, GC-General Commercial District, and GI-General industrial District to GO-General Office District.

Summary: The official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended in accordance with Section 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code so that: Lots 1-5 and 24-28, Block 7, Briggs Place, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, are hereby rezoned from R7-Medium-Density Multiple-Family Residential District, GO-General Office District, GC-General Commercial District, and GI-General Industrial District to GO-General Office District.

ORDINANCE NO. 43436

AN ORDINANCE to amend the boundaries of the ACI-2 - Area of Civic Importance Overlay District, to incorporate into that district the property located southwest of 46th and Dodge Streets; and to provide an effective date.

Summary: In accordance with Sections 55-609 through 55-617 and 55-886 of the Omaha Municipal Code, the official zoning map adopted by Section 55-65 of the Omaha Municipal Code be, and the same hereby is, changed and amended so that: Lot 24, Block 7, Briggs Place, a subdivision as surveyed, platted and recorded in Douglas County, Nebraska, is hereby rezoned to be included in and incorporated into the ACI-2 - Area of Civic Importance Overlay District; provided, that the base zoning district for such property shall not be changed by this ordinance.

ORDINANCE NO. 43437

AN ORDINANCE approving a Memorandum of Understanding between the parties of the Tri-County Planning, Exercise and Training Region of the Nebraska State Homeland Security Program, including the City of Omaha, Douglas County, Sarpy County, and Washington County, for the years 2023 through 2025, covering procurement of equipment, custody and control of equipment, equipment training, availability of equipment, administration, and policies and procedures of the four parties as relating to this MOU, involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Sections 5.16 and 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Omaha, 1956, as amended; and, providing for the effective date hereof.

ORDINANCE NO. 43438

AN ORDINANCE to approve the acceptance of and authorize disbursement over more than one fiscal year from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Administration, FY 2022 Community Project Funding (CPF) Grant Program, Award #B-22-CP-NE-0557, in the amount of three million dollars ($3,000,000), during the project period extending from December 23, 2022 to August 31, 2030; the North 24th Street Streetscape Improvements Plan will address infrastructure needs and improvements within the North 24th Street Corridor from Ohio Street to Patrick Avenue, improving sidewalks, traffic flow, landscaping, parking, and multimodal transit, in the North 24th Street Corridor; to authorize payment from such grant funding and involving appropriations of more than one year in conformity with Section 5.17 of the Home Rule Charter; and, providing for the effective date hereof.

AN ORDINANCE approving an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Omaha and the City of Valley, Nebraska, for more than one year, for the Omaha City Prosecutor’s Office to provide certain prosecutorial services for Valley; and to provide for the effective date hereof.
