PUBLIC NOTICE

DOUGLAS COUNTY

PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

You are hereby notified that public hearings will be held before the Douglas County Planning Commission on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 6 p.m.  Due to the current COVID-19 situation, and in compliance with the Nebraska Governor’s Executive Order No. 20-03, Corona Virus - Public Meetings Requirement Limited Waiver, this Planning Commission meeting will partially occur via Zoom video conference in addition to the physical meeting.  Some Planning Commission members will be attending remotely via the Zoom link.

Public hearings will concern recommendations to the County Commissioners on the following matters:

1. Martin Marietta Materials, applicant - Special Use Permit to allow for the Extraction of Sand and Gravel in the E1/2 SW1/4 and W1/2 SE1/4, Section 32-Township 15 North-Range 10

East of the Sixth P.M. Parcel #’s: 0110900000 and 0110910000. Addresses: 3505 S. 264

St. and 26060 F St; generally located at the northeast corner of the intersection of S. 264th and F Streets.

2. Douglas County Environmental Services, applicant – Adoption of a text change to the Zoning Regulations, Article 5.06 – Supplemental Use Regulations: Industrial Use, A. Resource Extraction #5, to delete the following phrase “except that the notification distance shall be 300 feet.”

3. Douglas County Environmental Services, applicant - Discussion and possible action on a new Building Permit Fee Schedule

This is a public meeting and all are welcome to attend in person at the Douglas Conference Room in the Fitzgerald Building. If you are ill or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend - make arrangements (see below) to attend via zoom. Members of the public and/or media should wear a face mask and be prepared to socially distance. Your compliance during these difficult times is deeply appreciated.

The Zoom link will be limited to Planning Commission members, County staff, and those who contact Douglas County Environmental Services (DCES) in advance of the meeting seeking an accommodation. 

The meeting agenda and documents to be considered by the Commission are available on the Environmental Services website (dceservices.org).

Due to the current COVID-19 situation the Environmental Services office is closed to visitors. Call 402-444-3531 or email douglas.cook@douglascounty-ne.gov with inquiries.  Requests for the Zoom link must be via email to douglas.cook@douglascounty-ne.gov.
